Description

Describing the dynamics of a rotating Kerr black hole within an effective field theory framework remains an open problem. In this talk, I will discuss an approach based on a spinning worldline action, which encodes gravitational interactions relevant to Compton scattering to all orders in the spin-multipole expansion. I will highlight issues with the formalism and mention potential sources of confusion in the literature. This talk is based on the recent work arXiv:2512.24549.
