 s in quantum field theory rely very often on perturbation theory and thus 
 on the computation of Feynman integrals. Two of the basic algorithms are i
 ntegration-by-parts and the method of differential equations. In this talk
  I show how the efficiency of these algorithms can be improved by taking g
 eometric information of the Feynman integrals into account. The method doe
 s not require any prior knowledge of the geometry and merely amounts to co
