Abstract
Since the start-up of the LHC, there has been a very successful 3-year run (Run 1) with around 30 fb^-1 of data delivered to the LHC experiments at 7 and 8 TeV. After a Long Shutdown (LS1), LHC physics resumed in June 2015 at 13 TeV.
The seminar will describe the LHC restart and the operation strategy up to 2023. It will give the plans for the full exploitation of the LHC (HL-LHC 3000 fb^−1).
Then, the global strategy for the CERN accelerators will be presented in line with the last Update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics.
