Abstract:
After the discovery of a new scalar particle at the LHC in 2012, one fundamental question to answer now is whether this is the only Higgs boson or the first state of an extended scalar sector, beyond the Standard Model. This seminar presents an overview of the searches for new physics in the Higgs sector using 36/fb of pp collision data recorded in the ATLAS experiment at the LHC.
