Abstract: Recent research suggests that neutron fluctuations in combination with feedback effects might have a non-negligible impact on the neutron distribution in nuclear reactors. This phenomenon can be analysed with statistical physics by using methods from quantum field theory. In this presentation, I will give an overview of previous research and our plan for how to improve the theoretical model.
