Description

Abstract:

Connection coefficients are important objects appearing in various areas of theoretical physics, including 4d N=2 theories, 2d CFT and black holes. In this talk, we motivate their importance through their relation to quasinormal modes of black holes. Then we will talk about several methods for computing connection coefficients, based on the appearance of the same second order ODE in the 2d CFT and 4d N=2 theories, which are related by the AGT correspondence. From the 4d N=2 perspective, we relate connection coefficients to Stokes graphs/ spectral networks. In particular, we present expressions of connection coefficients in terms of Nekrasov partition functions and quantum open path integrals. This talk is based on a joint work with Paolo Arnaudo and Alba Grassi and an ongoing work with Alba Grassi and Lotte Hollands.
