The purpose of the workshop is to get a bird's eye perspective on BESIII studies of hyperon-antihyperon production in decays of vector charmonia, and to brain-storm about what we can learn from it. This process is spin-wise equivalent to electromagnetic production via one-photon exchange, which means that the joint angular distribution of the production and decay can be parameterised in terms of form factors. Several published and ongoing BESIII studies have measured these form factors, but their interpretation is still unclear. In this mini-workshop, we plan for a series of short (5-10 minutes) presentations of ongoing studies, followed by a discussion on ideas of how to interpret the results. Finally, we will come up with a road-map on how to approach these studies in the future within BESIII.
