Spoke CM10-2
- CTS test started on last Friday: both cavities reached resonance frequency with no issue (motor changed wrt previous test). V
- Some parameters: sensitivity 0.177 Hz/step, 1 motor shaft turn corresponds to 256 steps (gear ratio). Stepper motor 200 step/rev.
- previous high power test done NOT at resonat frequency, power source frequency shifted to do the test (but piezo test not meaningful, if done outside resonance)
- Issue in water flow in coupler line
- At FREIA 3 methods are used to evaluate QL"
- VNA (always lowest result)
- Decay method
- LFD measurement: cav1 ~ 300 Hz, cav2 ~280 Hz. Unipolar piezo can cover all the LFD range (580 Hz tot) V
- Eacc given using in-kind Qt, but results using Tom Powers method (reflected power, energy stored method) are always more optimistic
- Field emission measured for both cavities (~500 uSv/h onset 8 MV/m). NB: detector very close to module, ~30 cm away.
- HL static always lower than dynamic
- coupler cooling line issue: absence of flow in cooling line X.
- Necessary to drain water from cooling line to start it again and proceed with the test.
- Warm-up: issue with level sensor (LT01) X
- OLD sensor, not changed by ESS-IFJ team
- Some small He signal during warm-up: is it a real issue or common to all modules (open question)
- Next module to be tested CM09: DK installation on Nov 3rd
