Abstract: One of the goals of studying exoplanet atmospheres is to understand the formation history of those planets. Even though the mapping of atmospheric compositions onto formation pathways is mbiguous, we can derive interesting constraints on how these planets may have formed. Giant planets are excellent candidates for such study due to their size and prior studies on their formation. WASP-39b is one such target that has been observed via JWST, where interesting elements such as sulfur have been hinted at within its atmosphere. I will discuss my planet formation model SimAb, how it works and what it can accomplish and discuss the possible formation history of WASP-39b based on the JWST observations and the detections of CO2 and SO2.
