Abstract: As part of the upcoming PLATO mission, scheduled for launch in late 2026, asteroseismic modelling techniques will play a key role in achieving the mission's precision requirements for stellar mass, radius, and age. I will commence the presentation with a concise overview of the two primary seismic inference methods prevalent in the literature: forward modelling and seismic inversions. Following this, I will address some of the challenges inherent in asteroseismic modelling and demonstrate how combining forward and inverse techniques can effectively surmount these obstacles. Lastly, I will highlight the synergies with exoplanetary system studies facilitated by enhanced stellar characterisations.
