Travel connections: The city of Uppsala belongs to the Uppland State and is located just about 70 km from Stockholm, a 1 hr car drive (E4).
There are frequent train connections (every half hour on working days) between the two cities (https://www.sj.se), with ca 35 minute travel. A fast train connection from Arlanda airport takes only 17 minutes.
Since the Arlanda airport is very close to Uppsala (in fact relatively closer to Uppsala than to Stockholm), special (Arlanda-Uppsala-Arlanda) taxi service is also offered by many taxi companies.
