Quantum mechanical and electodynamical approaches were combined to describe electrical and optical characteristics of a nanoparticle. Open and closed quantum dots were considered. Influence of shell parameters was proved. Energy surfaces were built for both types of systems. Field self-processes lead to some shifts of energy levels similar to the Lamb shift effect.
