FREIA: JE, RR, LH, KP, RSK
ACS: PB, JPT
1. Outcome of meeting:
- There is contact between LHe and LN2 piping in VB
- There is no copper shield on big part of TL012. This would definetely increase the temperature of the pumping line on its way to the VB
2. List of possible actions:
- Make a complete new line:
a) Pros: would have a spare, no need to stop tests
b) Cons: money,...
- Modify the existing line:
a) Widen the outer sleeve of TL012
b) Add a copper shield in TL012 (would need also spacers in G10)
c) Pros: cheaper, not so much time to wait
d) Cons: cannot run during the changes (ca. 4 weeks of work), no spare TL
- Make a bigger hole in VB's lower flange to accommodate a wider/bigger elbow to have more space inside when the lines come to meet TL012 (the copper shield should then not touch the lines). The bellow would not need to be changed.
- Change CF flange from CF63 to CF40. There will be a small pressure drop, but we can take it.
To tell ACS before summer outcome after internal discussions, PB might be able to work on design and making drawings available before going on holidays
