Please consider the most environmentally friendly way to travel before you book your travel. Uppsala is reachable by train from Europe, please consult e.g. your institution's travel agency.
Workshop venue: The Blåsenhus campus (click on image for map location), is located around 1 km from the Uppsala city centre (behind the castle seen from the city centre):
- By train from Arlanda Airport to Uppsala Central Station:
Uppsala is located around 20 minutes by train from Arlanda airport. All trains can be found and tickets be purchased on www.sj.se, some of the trains are regional (SL/UL) and can their tickets can also be bought in the "UL" app (available both for Android and iOS). Train tickets must be bought before entering the train and tickets cannot be bought in the trains. Tickets bought in the app or on the bus are valid for 2 hours, with all local transport, buses.
Notice that the train station at Arlanda airport has an additional "passage supplement fee" at 120 SEK, which can be bought at the entrance to the Arlanda C if it is not included in your ticket. Arlanda airport offers free wifi for 3 hours (Airport_Guest).
- By bus from Arlanda Airport to Uppsala Central Station:
Uppsala is located around 40 minutes by bus from Arlanda Airport. The UL bus 801 runs at least every 30 min and stops outside each terminal at Arlanda (see UL app or maps outside the terminals for respective bus stop). Check times at www.ul.se or in the UL app (available both for Android and iOS), where tickets also can be purchased. Tickets can be bought from the bus driver when entering the bus, only with card (no payments by cash).
- From the city centre to Blåsenhus:
Blåsenhus is located around 1.5 km from the Central station. If you walk, just look for the pink castle, and the Blåsenhus is located behind it, just south of the Botanical garden. Buses runs, from the Central station: 11 (direction Gottsunda) and 30 (direction Eriksberg), nearest bus stop: Segerstedtska. And from Stora torget: 2 (direction Eriksberg/Håga)), 7 (direction Gottsunda), nearest bus stop Blåsenhus.

As Blåsenhus is located around 1.5 km from the city center, you can chose any hotel in the city center area. Please contact your travel agency or have a look in any app or website where you can compare hotel prices for the best offer.
