From the airport to Uppsala
The closest airport is Stockholm Arlanda airport, which is located about 40 km south of Uppsala and 38 km north of Stockholm. The use of public transportation from and to the airport is recommended.
Bus
Bus 801 runs between Arlanda and central Uppsala throughout the day every day. The journey takes about 45 minutes. There are vending machines and a service desk at the Arlanda Airport terminals where you can buy bus tickets. It is also possible to buy your ticket onboard the bus using a credit card, but cash is not accepted.
The ticket price is around 120 SEK (~11 euros).

Train
Trains leave Arlanda for Uppsala Central Station directly from Sky City at Arlanda Airport. The journey takes less than 20 minutes. There are vending machines and a service desk in Sky City where you can buy train tickets. Tickets must be purchased before boarding the train.
There are three separate companies operating the trains: SL, SJ, and Mälartåg. Departures and tickets for all of them are fund on the SJ home page: https://www.sj.se/en
The ticket price is around 200-250 SEK (~19-23 EUR).
From Uppsala to the conference venue
Bus
Bus 108 takes you from Uppsala Central Station to Wik's castle (the stop "Wiks slott") and it takes ~ 40-50 mins. Tickets are sold onboard the bus with credit card payment only; cash is not accepted. Read about all payment options here.
